20 Gauge Shotgun Shells
When comparing 20 gauge to 12 gauge, the most common shotgun ammunition, 20 gauge shotgun shells produce less recoil. This is why it is often found that 20-gauge shotguns are commonly marketed to younger and/or smaller shooters.
It’s not as popular as 12 gauge ammo, but there is still 20 ga ammo available for many applications. We carry 20 gauge turkey loads for turkey hunting, and 20 gauge buckshot and even a 20 gauge slug for deer hunting. As advances in shot shell technology grow, the popularity of 20 gauge has closed the gap between 20 gauge and 12 gauge for all hunters.
