JJ Lares T-1 Acrylic Timber Single Reed Duck Call

One hell of a little call. A big punch packed down tight. Pretty loud and raspy on the high end and as whiney and squeaky as I’ve ever seen on the low end.

Mack's end of the transaction was great. I've always had great luck and yet to have a sour experience. I was not pleased with the call. Tone was not what I expected from Lares. Risk you take buying a call without the chance to blow it first.

This call is so fast and hardly requires any air to run. Put it on a decibel meter and its actually louder than the RNT Daisy Cutter which was really surprising for a timber call. I ended up buying the short barrel t1 and find it to be an excellent compliment to the t1. It’s really easy to switch back and forth between the two calls without having to change voice, pressure, or effort. GREAT call!

Called with JJ Lares original A-1 call for years. Their timber call is raspier with great range. Sounds more like mallards feeding after shooting time. A great little call.

This is my first JJ Lares and single reed call, and I'm blown away. I just got into waterfowl calling in early 2024 just to play around with and before this only had double reeds, 4 to be exact. I live in Hawaii and we have no ducks here other than pets. After reading and watching reviews on various calls I became wary of single reeds so I only bought doubles. That is until, I found out about JJ Lares Calls. The reviews did not exaggerate a thing! This little call blows! It blows double reed easy, is loud, and is beautiful to look at! This made my transition from double reeds very easy. I've only had it for a day and can do everything I can on a double reed. Long story short, the call is outstanding. But what makes me most happy about my purchase was the outstanding customer service by the good folks over at Mack's Prairie Wings. I will definitely be buying again in the future, mabey even try out a Hybrid.
