The decoy's motor sports a specially designed timer which energizes/de-energizes the motor at varying times from a fraction of a second to several seconds to pull the decoy partially under the water and then release to bob back up. The motorized duck decoy includes a float that acts as a self-righting buoy to create its bobbing and twisting movement. The Mallard Machine comes equipped with a hinged screen to protect the prop from debris and vegetation.
