Dissapointing

As compared to the Lone Wolf Assault hang-ons that I own, this stand is a disappointment. The castings are very crude. I have to wonder if the castings are strong enough, particularily at the hinge joint where the vertically oriented cast leg attaches to the horizontal cast platform. I had to go over quite a few edges with a file to keep from cutting myself. Whoever designed this stand did not have enough practical experience using a stand of this type in a variety of trees. The adjustment range should orient the platform level in relationship to a tree that is leaning slightly away from your body. The adjustment range of this stand will not allow for that. It only allows you to adjust the stand level when the tree is leaning into your body. A tree leaning into your body is a precarious situation that never works with any treestand whether it is well designed or not. If the cables were about 1 inch longer it would rectify that problem.
