MOJO Butt Up Rippler Mallard Drake Decoy
Details
Details
The MOJO Butt-Up Rippler presents a natural image of a feeding mallard with the ripples that would be associated with that, and is intended to compliment the Mallard Duck Rippler available last year. These Ripples were developed as a result of a special request by Jase Robertson of Duck Commander, a world class duck hunter who understands that realistic ripples on the water accurately simulate live ducks, thus greatly increasing the attractiveness of your spread to other ducks.
Arguably the most efficient way to add realistic motion to a decoy spread, these two decoys were developed by two of the biggest names in waterfowling, MOJO and Duck Commander, to be simple, effective and user friendly. Based on an accurate carving of a feeding mallard. The Butt-Up and the Mallard give a totally different “look” but with the same, and interchangeable vibrating mechanism. Brings not only life, but realistic life to an otherwise “dead” decoy spread. Operates on 4- AA batteries, not included.

Worth $40

I’ve only used this twice and I love the motion this thing puts out on a still day. The only problem is that the weight that spins around to make it wobble falls off. So every time I use it I have to open it and put it back together. One morning I’m going to open it and that weight will fall in the water and the decoy will be useless! Other than that and water leaking in it around the seal it’s a decent addition to my spread.
Great BUT!!

When they work they are great, but they break easily. Don't toss them or the arm the weight is on will break. treat them gently and they are a great duck finisher.
Does what it’s supposed to

Adds a nice ripple to the water. Easy to use. Seems a bit delicate, will probably baby this and not throw it from the boat etc
Nice motion at an affordable price

I love this guy. have used one for several years Place it with 2-3 other non-motion butt ups & it gets them all moving about. Switch sometimes does not work with bottom screwed in tight, just loosen the bottom, turn it on & screw it back tight. Have never experienced an issue with the weights, but then I have never thrown one.
