Sizing guide is off

Website displays size EU 39 is a size US 8 so I ordered the size 8 as a gift to my wife for Christmas. When the item arrived we noted that the box and boot tag displayed size EU 39 is a size US 7.5. Boot was too small. We had to return for a refund.
