Is that a battleship or the world's biggest duck

by anthony m coons sr

So real and big that a black duck from outer space will see it, well not really but you know what I mean. Their life like paint jobs is one of the best on the market. If your hunting with a first timer or a buddy that cost you a lot of money in shot decoys, then these are for you. They will last a life time. If you take care of them.

Get the paint going folks. Don’t cheap out !

I like the decoys because of their size and toughness but I am not really fond of the paint schemes. I realize they are loooking for the feather detail look but I like the blackduck decoys to be dark and I notice the automatic spray painting misses over part of the decoys and it just looks terrible. The light primer or undercoating shows up way to much and the decoy does not show very well because of this. I would rather it be dark all over the body because that is what the ducks see at a distance. By time they are close enough to see feather details or not I will be shooting. Same with the drake mallards I bought last year. The breasts are not painted dark enough and the paint doesn’t cover the entire breast are where there contrast would show better. The white on the rails of the drake mallard is not along the entire tail section so I have to touch up these de its when I buy them and don’t think I should have to. They are built very nice and are heavy duty for sure.
