Better Options Out There

by Western Hunter -

I’ve had this for about a year. It was replacing an older Remington that had never let me down but was due to take backup position. So far I’ve had the bronze coating scratch really easily and making a mistake so it doesn’t feed after the first shot is still a mystery. My biggest gripe has been the issue with the slide not locking forward or moving back a touch so it won’t fire. You’ll pull up from the blind and hear nothing and it won’t fire. So you reach over and it will have unknowingly moved back enough so that it won’t fire.
From a shooting standpoint it shoots most of the ammo I’ve thrown at it. With Brandon around, it hasn’t been the highest quality stuff, but it was all I could find. I thought it was adjusted correctly for me, but the last few times out, I’m hitting farther back so I checked again and my pattern is left and low so I need to adjust the shims.
