This is not to be confused with the plastic whistles of the past. Hands down this is the best whistle of all others produced. I have had them all and this is what stays on the lanyard! I'll never be mistaken for a world champion duck caller, but with my Coon Creek whistle I generally kill a lot more ducks than folks that are hunting around me. I hunt mostly public land, and when everyone else is hail calling, this whistle inspires confidence in the most decoy shy birds. When I do have to break poo ut my duck calls, my Coon Creek whistle is almost always the finisher for circling birds.
