Well made chair should last for years.A little smaller than I like but still works fine and easy to get around.
Misleading Measurements

The seat height measurement to bottom if the seat bracket is a little over 17 inches with the bottom of the seat at about 18 inches. The top of the seat is a little over 21 inches so if you are looking for a lower seat, be aware the measurements are misleading. I didn't check the upper reaches as I don't need a bar stool. The stool seems well made and I will give it a try this season. Hopefully, I won't have to modify 3 inches or so.
