Mossy Oak Bottomland
was the first pattern designed by Mossy Oak® in 1986 and used as the foundation for all later patterns. The shapes of the first pattern were designed, with the help of a local artist, using the bark and moss design from a very large and special oak tree in South Alabama. The Bottomland pattern is colored with dull, flat colors from real dirt, leaves, bark and old moss - blending perfectly in with the ground and under-story of big hardwoods and swampy areas.
