Quality
How is the quality? Does it have every feature you need?
Quality is great. The gun is very light and just has a great feel. I love the slim profile and fit is perfect for me. I am also a big fan of the Dura Touch finish. I did an initial cleaning before shooting to get the factory grease off as recommended. I have shot several hundred rounds without cleaning and have had no jams. It has cycled light 2 3/4" shells all the way up to heavy waterfowl 3" & 3.5" shells perfectly.
Features
What do you like or dislike about the features?
The dura touch armour gives the gun a great feel. Also, the auto load and magazine cutoff are nice to have. The only thing I really don't like about the gun is the forearm lever. Browning would have been better off to use a traditional nut. The lever is hard to click back into place and attaching a gun sling swivel is a little tricky because the forearm has to be slammed down hard into position to get the lever to click back into place? The gas operated system handles recoil with heavy loads very well, muzzle jump is noticeably less. I patterned the gun at 25-35 yards and was impressed even with the factory chokes
Cost
Do you think this item is a good value?
Considering how much Benellis & Berettas cost I think it is a good value. Don't know why anyone would buy a Benelli over this gun for the money?
Flyway
Which flyway do you hunt in?
Mississippi (West TN & East AR)
Overall
Please give your general opinion of this product.
I really like the way the gun shoots and feels. Very reliable so far as well. I shot an SX3 and VersaMax and thought they were excellent too, but setteled on the Maxus because it fit me like a glove and felt great.
