The actual mechanism that folds is great. The seat on the other hand is hard as a rock.

I bought this because it's about half the price of Cabela's same thing. I will be taking the cushion off and fashioning my own to it though. There isn't really any padding. Most of the metal has rounded edges to avoid tearing waders. The black finish is non-glare and seems to be of high quality. The strap and buckle are plenty good to keep you stuck to a tree in the marsh, i wouldn't trust it on any type of metal post since the seat actually has to "dig in" to whatever it's mounted to. Overall it's a good value and I would buy again.
