The ease and simplicity of operation. Could use a little pad around top portion of handle.

Yes. For the product you get and the help it gives you when you r needing to stretch your dog out farther than you can throw a bumper, and getting a dog used to gunfire while relating gunfire to downed birds.
Overall:
A must have to train your retriever when you aren't afforded the luxury of having someone to assist you on a regular basis.
