Woodhaven's Strike 3 Striker Friction Turkey Calls are a one-piece wonder made from a super wood formed by combining thin, color-impregnated layers of birch or oak and epoxy resin. Strike 3 Strikers are of laminated birch or oak with 5/16 inch - 1/4 inch tapered striker shafts, to produce the fastest, raspiest sounds. Woodhaven also offers various dowel strikers, each with their own distinct sound when used with Woodhaven’s line of friction calls.
Birch - Plain tip purrs and clucks good with friction call.
Birch - Flared tip gives you better control of sticker angle.
Oak - Plain tip gives you a slightly higher pitch than the birch.
Oak - Flared tip will achieve a higher pitch, forgiving striker angle.
