Steiner Predator Waterproof Binoculars
Experience highest light transmission and game sensing color contrast with the new Steiner 10x42 Predator C5 Hunting Binocular. The new C5 technology delivers pinpoint resolution, now with longer eye-relief and new twist-up oculars and patented light blocking side flaps. The 10x42 C5 offers good balance off power and field of view, perfect for most hunting and wildlife view applications.
The Steiner Predator binocular was developed as a special tool for hunters and nature observers to more easily spot animals in a woodland setting. Developed about 10 years ago, the concept is simple - boost the transmission of red and brown shades (the "right" side of the color spectrum towards infrared) while slightly reducing transmission of the "left" side of the spectrum (blue, green and UV light) to make animals and other objects "pop out" of the background.
Now, Steiner has developed an entirely new Predator binocular for the American hunter and outdoor enthusiast using entirely new optical system formulations, new fully multi-coated optics and completely new shock and waterproof housing. The new Predator C5 in 10x42 and 12x42 deliver a new standard of performance in a hunting binocular that includes a much higher degree of light transmission, image resolution and color contrast than previously available.
The Predator C5 uses an all-new rigid polycarbonate chassis that is not only durable but also mil-spec waterproof and dry-nitrogen pressurized. You'll appreciate the aggressive styling of the focus wheel making the C5 easy to use and focus with gloves in any weather.
Each Predator C5 includes a padded travel case, rain guard or the oculars and the attached objective lens caps, along with a contoured neck strap. Optional harness systems are also available. Each binocular is equipped with a tripod mount and a tripod adapter is available.

It's early season and you're in your stand later than usual. Since the leaves haven't turned yet, they blend in with the scattered pines and fern on the woodland floor. One look through your Predator C5 shows you some things simply can't be seen with just the naked eye. You keep glassing into the early evening and suddenly your eyes see . . .
Predator lens coatings help you spot hidden game by blocking the colors of haze and foliage, enhancing the visibility of browns, reds and other wildlife colors.
Choose from models designed to meet your special needs, from the thickest cover to hill country, or in low light or sunshine scattered through treetops… wherever and however you need to spot in cover, the Predator's eyes will give you the edge you need.
Give yourself the advantage with binoculars designed to actually help you find game, not just see it. The 8 x 30 and 10 x 40 Predator Pro models feature Steiner's Sports Auto-Focus: once set for your eyes, they deliver incredible depth of field, for sharp images of everything from 20 yards to infinity, with no further adjustment. Add Predator's high-contrast, game-sensing coatings, and you'll discover hidden game before others even know where to look.
Wildlife hidden by dense foliage: whatever you need to spot - nothing escapes the Predator’s eyes! The revolutionary Steiner Predator lens coating increases contrast in wooded and camouflaged backgrounds and makes animals much easier to detect with the human eye. Simply put, the green coating blocks out green and blue (the colors of foliage and haze) and boosts browns and reds. The added contrast is impressive.
