Lyman Number 2 Tang Sight
Lyman has recreated the sight that the Lyman Gun Sight Company was founded on in 1878. Reintroduced in 1994 for the Winchester 94 Centennial, the Lyman No. 2 Tang Sight will fit most new and old 94 models plus these other historic Winchester Models: 1885, 1887, 1890, and 1894. (The No. 2 will also fit other models when adjusted to full height).
For 1995, Lyman introduced a new version of the No. 2 Tang for Marlin Models 336, 1894, 1895 and 30 series lever action rifles.
Like the original, the No. 2 is all steel construction and features height index marks on the aperture post, with a maximum elevation of .800 for long range shooting. It includes both a .093 quick sighting hunting aperture and a .040 Large Disk Target Aperture. Also included is a replacement rear stock screw and front tang screw. (Marlin version features a special adapter which allows mounting on the tang without damaging the serial number)
When mounted, the No. 2 Tang Sight’s greater sight radius means as much as 32% greater inherent accuracy at 100 yards. It provides a clear view of the target and front sight and can be used when the light is too dim for other sights.
