The Knives of Alaska Bush Camp-Cub Bear Knife Combo teams the Bush Camp Knife with the Cub Bear Caping Knife. This duo can fill your cutlery needs for both heavy duty and fine detail camp and field-dressing chores. The Bush Camp Knife is a large 10-1/2 inches long, full-tang, .14 inch thick knife with a 6 inch drop-point blade. The handle is our black rubberized Suregrip. The knife is designed for rugged bush camp field-dressing and cook shack duties. The blade steel is D2 with a Rockwell hardness of 58-59 and has the hunter's non-glare matte finish. It is paired with the Cub Bear Caping Knife, which is ideal for fine caping work around a trophy's eys, ears, and nose.
Knives of Alaska is famous for their combo sets. There weren't many available until Knives of Alaska came along, but every hunter knows that two knives are better than one; and you might need even more if you have a big job ahead of you. Knives are tools, and the right tool makes the job go faster. Knives of Alaska has paired many of their knives with the very useful caping knife or the handy little fleshing tool. Most of these sets also come with a small, two-grit diamond sharpening steel. Everything you need at your fingertips!
Most Knives of Alaska products are fixed blade knives. This means the blade does not fold, like a pocket knife, but is kept in a sheath. Some other companies make fixed blade knives with a peg that fits into the handle, but Knives of Alaska fixed blade knives are full tang - the knife steel is part of the entire handle. This makes a knife much stronger and more dependable, and that's what Knives of Alaska is about!
