The Patternmaster Extended choke tube was developed for the users who predominantly use 3 1/2 inch shot shells. The choke tube has a shot cup base which is delayed by the stud system for a fraction of a moment, allowing the shot to proceed from the choke undisturbed by the shot cup or its gases. The moment of the shot cup stopps at the studs, the open end is still in the choke, allowing the shot to remain at its tightest grouping when leaving the choke tube. When the shot leaves the choke tube undisturbed it flies longer and truer.
