Made with black rubber armoring that provides a slip-free grip, the Nikon 12x42 Monarch ATB binocular is O-ring sealed and nitrogen-filled to be completely waterproof and internally fog-proof. And everyone will appreciate the fact that these well-made binoculars are backed by Nikon's 25-year warranty.
What do the numbers mean? Binoculars are generally described by two numbers. The first tells you the magnification, or how many times larger than normal size a distant object will appear. The second number describes the objective lens diameter, or the size of the front lenses. The greater this second number, the brighter images will appear (other factors being equal).
