This type of digital camera is perfect for an open woods or field area. Picture delay of 1, 5, 10, and 30 minutes. The 5 megapixel infrared camera has a trigger time under 1 second. A range of up to 50 feet at night is more than enough for that crossing point. How is the quality? Does it have every feature you need?
I bought two of these. One is fine although the photos aren't as clear as I was expecting. The other has a problem with the shutter not opening all the way so the photos have an area that is obscured in some photos.

I like that I can identify the camera electronically so it shows up on the photos and the moon phases.

I think the cost is very good.

Overall I am happy with this product. They are up on property that is in another state and I was only able to check photos for two days while there. I will know more when I return and check the SD card to see photos since then. (That is why I didn't return it for another one...)
