Product Description

You haven't seen anything until you have seen the Kershaw Leek Composite Plain Edge Blade. This blade fuses two kinds of metals into one strong and long lasting blade. Made in America, but destined for the entire world! Its patent pending composite blade contains a spine of 14C28N stainless steel fused with the cutting power of CPM-D2 stainless steel. Never before has a blade of this magnitude existed. Made with all stainless steel construction - even the handle of the Composite Leek is made from 410 stainless steel.

The knife also features the convenience of the patented SpeedSafe assisted index finger opener. It is ambidextrous for quick easy opening for either right or left handed use. A removable pocket clip means that you will be able to keep the blade handy for whenever you need it. The tip safety lock ensures that this blade remains securely closed when not in use.

Features of the Kershaw Leek Composite Plain Edge Blade:

Reversible Clip
:
The Leek handles are drilled for both tip up and tip down clip carry. The clip can be rotated 180 degrees.

Frame Lock: Locks the blade into position after the blade is deployed. To release the frame lock simply press the spring loaded lock and the blade will easily fold back into the handle.

Tip Safety Lock: The tip lock available on many of the Ken Onion SpeedSafe models provides added security to assure that the blade will not deploy while clipping into your pockets.

Product Specifications
Kershaw Leek Composite Plain Edge Blade Features:
SpeedSafe, the patented, assisted opening system built into many of Kershaw's Ken Onion knives. SpeedSafe assists the user to smoothly open the knife with a manual push on the blades thumb stud or index open system. (Index open uses a protruding portion of the blade's finger guard to give the user an alternative to the thumb stud. The user manually pulls back on the protrusion with the index finger to open the blade.)

The heart of the SpeedSafe system is its torsion bar. Closed, the bar helps keep the knife closed, preventing it from being opened by gravity. In order to open the knife, the user must apply manual pressure to the thumb stud to overcome the resistance of the torsion bar. After the blade is out of the handle, the torsion bar moves along its halfmoon track and takes over. The blade opens smoothly and locks into position, ready for use.
