Kent Impact Waterfowl - 12 Gauge

Kent IMPACT Tungsten Matrix continues to be the only true alternative to lead. Tungsten Matrix is a patented blend of pure tungsten powder in a polymer matrix specifically developed to match the physical and ballistic properties of premium quality lead shots. Kent IMPACT Tungsten Matrix waterfowl pellets are uniform in size, have consistent density and superior muzzle velocities to deliver maximum energy to the target.

Other tungsten products are restricted to the limitations of steel. These limitations are not found in Kent Tungsten Matrix products because of Kent’s unique lead-like characteristics. That also means Kent IMPACT Tungsten Matrix waterfowl loads are safe for use in older nitro-proofed or high-grade fixed choke barrels. If you have never pulled the trigger on Kent’s Tungsten Matrix you are in for a very pleasant surprise. Unmatched performance must be seen for it to be truly appreciated. Just pull the trigger.

Subject:Comparing Kent Tungsten Matrix with other shells for Goose Hunting
Quality: Quality of the shells is top notch. The shells have high brass heads with distinct gold lettering and blue case.
Features: Non-toxic shoot to conform with federal regulations. You also don't have to feel bad about polluting the environment with toxic lead which I would use if it weren't illegal.
Cost: Cost used to be less than $20/box of ten but has increased. It's would be too expensive for high volume shooting but is just the ticket if you only shoot 20-40 shells at waterfowl in the season. I've seen guys spent $150/day goose hunting with steel and they only shoot 10 shells or less.
Flyway: I live the the Mississippi Flyway but have hunted in the Platte River region and Pacific Flyway.
Expectations: I hunted and shot geese with lead, steel and Hevishot. I used more open chokes, Lt Mod and Mod on a Beretta 626 sxs, 28" barrel with 1 5/8oz, Kent Tungsten Matrix, #1 shot and thought the Matrix outperformed everthing else I used in the past. The shots last fall where 45-50 yards and I had no problem knocking down the birds.
Use: I used the shells for Goose hunting but the #3 and #5 would be good for duck hungting also. They say the #3 is effective on geese to a little over 50 yards and I am going to try that this fall.
