Using the same layered form construction as the Block, the GlenDel Buck uses an extra large insert to replicate the body size of a 150 pound (live weight) deer. The open layer design of the insert stops arrows with friction, not force, making for easier arrow removal and longer target life. It also means that the insert can stop arrows traveling at over 300 feet per second. Capable of taking field tips, broadheads, and expandables, wrap surrounds the open, unglued layers of the insert and prevents slivering.
The insert also features twice the target life of other inserts. The H-Back locking layers inside the insert are shaped like an
H so they won't shift and are held down tight with a Compression Lever. As they get shot out, you have 3 options:
- Rotate - Layers can be reversed giving you a fresh face to shoot at
- Reposition - Layers can be moved up or down in the stack
- Replace - Layers can be replaced individually or all at once
