Product Description

Evolved ProVide Clover Food Plot is a premium blend of forage clovers developed for deer with the added bonus of chicory, creating the ultimate perennial clover food plot mix.  This mix can be planted throughout the spring, late summer and fall in most areas of the U.S.

2 lbs. plants 1/4 acre.

Forage Clover: Forage Clovers are the most highly researched crops for wildlife. ProVide Clovers yield up to 35% protein.  The clover seeds in ProVide are coated and inoculated to assure that these premier clover plants fix nitrogen that the plants will use. Deer will forage on these high protein leaves to get the nutrients they need. We have selected the best annual clovers and perennial ladino type clovers based on the following criteria: highest protein, highest TDN (Total Digestible Nutrients), highest drought resistance, best reseeding qualities and superior palatability. The clover seeds in ProVide are coated and inoculated to assure that these premier clover plants fix nitrogen that the plants will use.

Forage Chicory: Forage chicory is an excellent forage plant that provides 30% protein and a burst of valuable minerals. Chicory plants have a long taproot that allows the plant to be extremely drought resistant. They are a true perennial that will survive for many years unattended. Average mature plant height is approximately 15 inches.

Take a Soil Sample:

It is very important to have your soil professionally tested. This service is available through the County Agriculture Agent in most areas of the United States.

  1. You will need a different sample for each food plot area. A separate test should be performed when soil changes color or consistency.
  2. Each sample should be a made up of three or more samplings from the same food plot area.
  3. Dig just below the mulch layer and take a clump of soil that does not contain mulch. Repeat several times in each area; mix the samples together to get a good representation of the soil in the food plot area.
  4. Have both pH and fertilizer test done so that you can target your problems. Clearly note that you are planting a Food Plot for Wildlife or list the ingredients in the mix selected.
