After having used blind bags for years, Drake sat down and asked themselves what we like and don't like about using the blind bags on the market today. After you take a look at all the thought and details, you will quickly see there was a lot of room for improvement.
Both Drake Large and X-Large Blind bags are loaded with pockets for organizing your gear so you can find it. Our size Large bag has over 18 pockets and our XL has over 20 pockets. The main storage compartment is protected by 2 liners. With a seam-welded vinyl internal liner overlayed with our vinyl organizer, we've taken extra steps in creating a waterproof compartment from the bottom to the zipper.
Rugged PVC Backed HD2 Material, 5 Panels of Closed Cell Flotation Foam and Padding, Organizer Liner and Internal Waterproof Liner, Neo-Stretch Neoprene Shoulder Strap for maximum shock absorbency.
See Through Map Pocket
As soon as you lift the camo top, the first thing you see is our clear vinyl see-through zippered map pocket. When first scouting a WMA (Wildlife Management Area), you need a map. Boating or four-wheeling while dealing with a map is frustrating so we came up with a solution.
Drake placed two zippered see through mesh pockets into the bottom side of the bags camouflage top. Two of the pocket zippers run vertical, making it very easy to access anything. Along the top of the two vertical pockets is an extra large zippered pocket that opens the entire top for storage. Great for manuals, extra maps, papers, or anything you need to keep dry.
1. Thermos/Jacket Sleeve - On top of both our blind bags, we have placed an adjustable sleeve designed to hold a thermos or a jacket. The sleeve has an adjustable hook & loop bottom built-in to hold the thermos tightly in place. At the top, you have a stretch cord cinch strap.
2. Large Shell Pocket on left end with elastic top opening and drainage grommets at the bottom. Ideal for accessing shells quickly during the hunt when you need it.
3. Outer Face Pocket - Large roomy pocket built with 7 elastic shell/choke tube dividers great for storing just about anything that is small.
4. Large Waterproof Pocket with Flap Top on right end is ideal for gloves, duck strap, or just about anything you need to access quickly and regularly during the hunt. It helps avoid opening up the main bag and going inside.
You can utilize both the top and bottom for storing maps and daily sunrise/sunset tables that you need to view daily. Now, instead of digging around for the tables, you just lift the top to view today?s shooting times. This is an incredibly handy feature that will make your life spent in the marsh or woods, much more enjoyable.
You can unzip and snap this clear vinyl top to the main top and use it only when needed. Not a detail was overlooked for this bag.
Inner Bag Wall Storage and Organizer Dividers
One of the most aggravating things we found with our old blind bags was everything was dumped into the bottom and you had to dig and search each and every time you needed something. This is not how we like spending our time during a hunt, so we have corrected this problem. The blind bag walls have pockets built into them. There are up to 12 divider pockets on the walls, along with a combination of 8 D-rings and quick-clips. There is a clear vinyl drop pocket on one end, ideal for hunting license or anything else you need to know is there.
Light Tan Liner
Deliberately used to bounce light down into those hard to see areas. Have you ever tried to find something in a bag with a black liner, even in broad day light? It isn't easy
