Browning A5 3.5 Inch 26 Inch 12 Gauge Stalker Shotgun
The Browning A5 3.5 Inch 26 Inch 12 Gauge Stalker Shotgun may look like Grandpa's gun but it sure as heck does not act like it. The iconic humpback shaped receiver is the only thing this Browning autoloader shares with the legendary namesake. The A5 is built to be the most reliable, fastest cycling, best performing and softest shooting recoil operated autoloader on the market.
Humpback Acquisition Advantage
Built from rugged and lightweight aircraft grade aluminum alloy, the A5 receiver’s shape is more than a throwback for the sake of nostalgia. The familiar humpback receiver profile melds seamlessly with the rib to extend your sight plane, aiding in natural sight alignment for quicker target acquisition and more accurate shooting.
Kinematic Drive System
In its simplest term, kinetic energy is the energy of motion. The new Browning A5 makes better use of kinetic energy with its powerful, short recoil operated Kinematic Drive System. Kinematic Drive harnesses recoil energy and converts it into the mechanical motion needed to operate the action. This concept is tried and true, and now perfected by the company that broke ground first with autoloading shotguns. The beauty of Kinematic Drive is the simplicity of design for consistent, reliable function with any load and under the full extremes of weather, temperature, moisture and grime.
The Kinematic Drive is so reliable that the A5 is the first ever autoloading shotgun to carry a 100,000 round or five year guarantee. This gun is designed to work, come hell or high water. Operation is clean because gases are sent out the barrel and away from the action. There’s also extreme load versatility. The extensively tested Kinematic Drive offers reliable performance with virtually all loads down to 1 ounce field loads with no adjustments.

Top - Gun at rest
Middle - Gun fires and internal spring accumulates recoil energy
Bottom - Spring bounces back, unlocking and cycling the action
Features and looks are only part of the A5 equation for success. The new A5 feels incredibly balanced in your hands from pad to muzzle. It feels light and swings fast. Put an A5 to the real test by picking one up. The grip is comfortable, and the forearm is compact and narrow, placing your front hand closer to the bore line for superior hand eye coordination and pointability.
Ergonomic Bolt Latch
The A5 includes a Bolt Latch located just ahead of the trigger guard. This handy addition locks the bolt to the rear when the magazine is unloaded and releases a shell from the magazine when the bolt is closed to make loading quick. The oversized shape makes the Bolt Latch easy to locate and operate with or without gloves.
