The ATB has everything I've wanted in a training bird. Safety is my first concern- hard objects and hard driving dogs don't mix, and I knew there had to be a better way. After a year of working with the guys at Avery…I had it! The head is perfect, too hard for dogs to want to hold but soft enough to keep you out of the vet's office. The outer shell will hold up for years, and the foam filling is birdy. VGrips provide the proper hold even in warm climates, and the throw knob makes long marks easy. I've used them all and I chose the ATB over all others for the Super Retriever Series…and for my own training.
